The design of this ongoing residential project takes cues from its context, which reflects in the scales, elements and configuration of the house. The wind movement guides the proportions of the courtyards enabling the spaces to be naturally ventilated and lit throughout the year. As seen in the facade, the Jaali openings allow fresh air into the washrooms while also bringing lightness to the elevation. The jaali breaks the scale of the elevation visually whereas the courtyards reach deep into the house, blurring the boundary between inside and outside.
